Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Uzbekistan Long-term Low Carbon Development Options and Pathways. The objective of this assignment is to analyze the low carbon development potential in various sectors of Uzbekistans economy to inform setting up of a long-term vision on low carbon economy and determine various pathways to achieve the long term goals through both quantitative and qualitative analysis. The study would provide recommendations to Government for finalization of its Long-term Low Carbon Development Strategy. The potential and the options would need to be examined following a consultative process to ensure their feasibility as well as consistency with other plans and strategies. Full understanding of the low carbon development scenarios and pathway analysis, including their impacts on the economy, by the agencies/institutions responsible for policy and investment planning, will be critical to development of a successful LTS.
