  • Tenders are invited for Pre-feasibility Study for Uzbekistan Transformation of Power Distribution Sector Project The World Bank is preparing a new lending project for the electricity distribution sector. JSC β€˜Regional Distribution Network- (REN) manages and operates the entire electricity distribution business in the country. The development objective of the lending project is to transfer the distribution sector into a more efficient; flexible and reliable system. Such a system will help reduce distribution loss; increase operational flexibility for demand side response and supply side interruption caused by variable renewable energy; and enhance system resilience for increased climate impacts. The lending project aims to achieve these objectives through supporting digitization of distribution system operation and modernizing distribution infrastructures.The Bank is looking for a consulting firm to carry out prefeasibility studies for the proposed distribution project in Uzbekistan. The Consultant is expected to prepare the local feasibility study; Technical and Economic Substantiation (TEO) in line with the local legislations.
