Powerful and user-friendly computer-based professional software for 1D equivalent linear ground response analysis should be written completely from scratch and includes many features to make data entry, analysis, viewing and documentation of results efficient and effectivem, including built-in modulus reduction and damping models, graphical display of the soil profile and motion input parameters, graphical display of a wide range of output parameters and animation of the earth's reaction. The program should consist of three "managers" - an input manager, a decision managerand output manager. The input manager should allow the input of ground profile and motion data. The decision manager must perform an iterative equivalent linear analysis, tracking the progress of achieving deformation-compatible soil properties.
