Talimarjan Power Project Procurement ref: 9595-GPN-50116 Location: Uzbekistan Business sector: Energy Project number: 50116 Funding source: EBRD and ADB Contract type: Project goods, works and services Notice type: General Procurement notices Issue date: 17 Mar 2020 Closing date: 16 Mar 2021 at 23:59 Nuristan General Procurement Notice The Republic of Uzbekistan intends using the proceeds of the loans from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Asian Development Bank for a project to design and build two additional combined-cycle gas turbines with an overall capacity of at least 900 MW and related infrastructure at the existing gas- fired Talimarjan Power Station in the Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan (the Project). The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of 1 billion US Dollars equivalent will require the procurement of the following works, goods and services: Design, supply, construction, installation and commissioning of additional two combined-cycle gas turbines with an overall capacity of at least 900 MW and related infrastructure, including closed circuit cooling towers. Tendering for the above contract/s is expected to begin in the Q2 2020. Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank will be subject to the ADB`s Procurement Policies and Rules but will be open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank`s loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser`s country.
